Lights at Lafarge is a free winter attraction that features over 100,000 Christmas lights and festive displays around Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake at night.
Christmas Lights at Lafarge
Lights at Lafarge is a free attraction that runs from late November until around the third week in January.
During the event the 1.2 km pathway around Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam is decorated with sparkling holiday lights. There are illuminated archways to walk under, Christmas light reindeer to admire and various themed areas throughout the park including a Fantasy Forest, Arbour Walk and Woodland Garden.
The winter holiday displays at Lights at Lafarge are beautiful and highly recommended if you’re ever in the area.
Lights at Lafarge 2017
In 2017 Lights at Lafarge takes place from November 25, 2017, until January 21, 2018. The lights are illuminated daily from 4:30 until 11:00 pm, and on New Year’s Eve from 4:30 pm until 1 am.
November 25th Opening Night
On opening night of the season, on Saturday, November 25th, there is a special free event outdoors at Lafarge Lake and indoors at the Evergreen Cultural Centre between 2:30 and 5:30 pm. The celebrations feature street performers, free cookies and hot cocoa, craft activities for children, a vendor market, choir performances, a photo booth and the official lighting of the park’s Christmas illuminations.
Where is Lights at Lafarge?
Lights at Lafarge takes place at Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake at the corner of Guildford Way and Pinetree Way which is right next to the Evergreen Line’s new Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station.
